Anybody else interested in a Thursday Night MacDonald Observatory Star Party before the UTEP game in El Paso on Saturday, September 6th?
I've been in contact with the MacDonald Observatory and they're open to scheduling a Star Party that Thursday night and want to know how to staff accordingly.
Given the thousands of Longhorns that will be traveling from points east to El Paso, I figured many people would be like us and would want to stop at the observatory on Thursday night, and then be in El Paso Friday night for the partying before the game on Saturday.

After reading his post, we decided we'd stop at the observatory on our way out to El Paso next September.
The reason I ask about interest in a Thursday Star party is that right now, they only schedule Star Parties on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday nights.
We plan to head out from Austin on Thursday, go to the observatory late that day and/or evening, and stay in that area Thursday night, or maybe just drive on into El Paso later in the evening.
Anybody else have an interest in visiting the observatory for a Star Party Thursday night?
