Let's go ladies

We are leading but our pitcher is throwing balls and walking. As I type a hit scores the aggy. 1-1 with the bases loaded. The walks are horrible.

We have had chances to get more scores but of course our run was a gift on a wild pitch. Come on Ladies! Fight and Win! Without this win the best we can probably do is tie for the State Farm Lone Star Showdown Cup.

Well we might get away with a tie if our baseball team pulls through but it doesn't look good as far as winning it outright is concerned.

It aint over yet Bill but we are going to need some BB wins

We are ahead by 1 1/2 not including the loss tonight which is only 1/2 point

Final as Aggies win 6 - 1. That fifth inning breakdown did us in. I can't be too hard on our softball ladies though because I expected them this year to get swept by the Aggies and they did give us a split which is still critical. Of course I would have liked to have had that 1/2 point tonight but still it was our men's tennis and golf teams that didn't give us the point and it was so humiliating the way our golf team was dominated.

By the way I was told there was great support at the game by the UT fans for our Ladies. Thanks for the support. I salute you.

I don't want to knock the Women's Softball coaches but if you read how Blinn Junior College is doing you will see they are doing well. Their pitchers are doing well and one of them even though she has not got the publicity of the others is doing well with a 10 - 0 record so far this year in softball. That is Freshman Kirsten Shedd of Sinton. See link below and if you scroll down you will see her picture and her results are also available too. She was a starting pitcher at Sinton for 4 years and did very well. She was a great pitcher and good batter and played good short stop when she wasn't pitching which was rare. She is a great person also and an excellent student. In short she would have been a good Longhorn. Her dream was to come to UT but she had to go where the scholarship was offered. Now she is doing great for Blinn Junior College. In fact last fall she beat the Aggies in an exhibition game 5 to 4 which probably has got their attention when she has to transfer to a four year school. I saw her the four years and it is hard for me to commnunicate how she loved Texas and really wanted to be a Longhorn. Remember anothe Sinton ex baseball player did well at Texas for us and that was Adrian Alaniz who helped us win an NC.
It would be a big loss if A&M or any other school got her when she is through at Blinn but that may happen. I knew of her talent and had sent a letter to the softball department at UT telling them they needed to take a look at her and give her consideration. The coaches were nice and one them sent a letter thanking me but they had scholarship limits and couldn't see everyone, etc. etc. I had never written to any UT coach about a Sinton athlete but this is one I belived in. Plus the letter was from Bill in Sinton but that didn't help. I hope they don't let this one get away. If they expressed interest she would be at Austin in a heartbeat after her junior college is over.
I will let the rest of you check out the web site and see what you think. I admit that I may not be logical since I saw her in high school for 4 years and know her and her family.
Still I hope that we don't let this one get away - espcially to the Aggies.

I agree that the team needs to "take a new direction" at this point. I would not just single out the hitting coach at this point in time, though.
