UT Softball Opens Season

In a bold move, Texas invited three top 25 teams to the Time Warner Classic Tournament to open the season. LSU is 18, North Carolina 19 and DePaul is 21. Texas is not ranked, Worse than that, Texas starts two unknown freshman pitchers, Kim Bruins, and Blaire Luna.

Well, here is the result of day one. Kim Bruins opened against the DePaul ace Becca Heteniak. UT won the game 3-1. In the second game Texas pitcher Blaire Luna threw a no hit, no run game against North Carolina. She won 1-0 behind some awesome Texas defense.
Texas faces LSU tomorrow at 1:30 pm. Come out and cheer for the Horns!!

As long as Luna keeps throwing no nos, we have a great chance to have a good year. As long as we score 1 run a game we should be fine.

She is very good and definitely has the chance to be mentioned in the same class when she is done.

She has that same unreal control over all her pitches and that is why there has always been a comparison.
