UT Recruiting in AZ

So, as I was flying back to school today in LA (I go to USC...I know, I know), I had to switch planes in Phoenix.

Interestingly enough, I sat across the aisle from Coach Bobby Kennedy and a few rows in front of THE Coach-In-Waiting himself, Will Muschamp and DE Coach Oscar Giles.

Anyways, it was pretty obvious that they were on a recruiting trip, so I guess my question is, is there anyone they are going after in AZ besides Kennard? I presumed the trip was all about him, thoughts?

Wait, so they were on the way to LA?
I find it more interesting that 3 coaches were together. I'd thought they would spread out to cover more ground.

I think it makes sense for all 3 of them to be in AZ recruiting Kennard. I believe Coach Kennedy in charge of recruiting/targeting Kennard. Coach Giles is the position coach for DE and Coach Muschamp is the DC.

You bring Kennedy in because he is probably the one that Kennard has had the most contact with, Giles to talk to him about what he sees him doing as a DE and Muschamp to tell him how he would fit into his system.

Just bring the full court press and cover every angle.

Wouldn't it be a great irony if we were able to get Kenard and McFarland to come here perhaps due to the extra recruiting time rather than getting ready for the Big 12 Championship (?) game?

It was great of you to do that for him even though as a real Horns fan you probably had more right to talk to him than those that did.

Probably a full press on Kennard though there are several kids on 2010/2011 lists that are looking at Texas.

fishy, where do you live?

Southwest has direct flights from Austin to almost any major city we recruit. If they fly any other airline they have to switch planes, while it may be more comfort, I would want the fastest trip possible. SW from Austin to Phoenix is direct and does not require a transfer of planes.

Major,

I live in Dallas and flights on SW have been restricted there. They are opening up some though.

I fly every week and lots of time it is NW, MW and NE so SW doesn't have many options that aren't at least 2 stops.

What I hate with SW is either paying more or getting to the airport 2 hours ahead of time to get a decent seat. At least with my status on AA and USAir I either get upgraded or at least get exit row seats everytime I fly.
