Brenden Schooler and Cade Brewer coming back.
Jamison as well, said he’s got things to prove.

Kinda dispelling everyone’s crying about a divided locker room.

[RosanneRosannadanna] Why are we giving out redshirts? Shouldn't we be giving out burntorangeshirts? I can understand giving out orangeshirts, since burnorangeshirts might be in short supply. But surely we can do better than redshirts. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND HOW BAD THAT LOOKS TO GIVE OUT A REDSHIRT WHEN ousux SKOOL COLORS INCLUDE RED! I MEAN........What? Ohhh! Nevermind![/RosanneRosannadanna]

The malcontents have already exposed themselves. The question is would these guys have come back if the malcontents were coming back?
As I speculated a few months ago, CDC told the malcontents to enjoy this year because once the eyes issue is settled by that president report, it’s the eyes or the highway in 2021. Wouldn’t surprise me we get a big bowl win next week too.

Me either. I hope this is finally the beginning of something different. This team has had its good moments when it plays as a team and it's obvious there are some players that want to win (as a team).

NR,

Herman lost the team before they ever set foot on the field. I do not know if he told them things or promised things over which he had no control, but any common sense would have told anyone on this board, "YOU DON"T DO THAT".

On the sidelines, pregame, particularly after the game, watching the players, there was a clear divide, and the coach did NOTHING to resolve it. CDC and Jay tried, but didn't want to step on Herman's toes or his replacement would have seen it as administration interference.

This was NEVER a team, just a collection of "MEs" being manipulated by puppeteers. There were kids trapped in the middle who would normally go to their position coach with the problem, but Herman's staff offered NO assistance.

Not an attack on your thoughts, but no one will ever convince me after what I saw that the locker room did not have more cracks in it than a house built on the Spring Branch Fault Line.

Leadership. When a person in a position of power and span of control does not address the issue and take action, they become the problem. Bad situations do not fix themselves, they only fester into things much worse.

I think the effort and play in the K State game MAY have exposed a better team without SOME of the problem. MAYBE.

KSU was a shell of the team that beat OU by the time Texas played them. Not sure why, but the whole KSU team sucked by season's end. Texas dominated two teams. Both sucked. The teams with a pulse either beat Texas or nearly beat Texas. Once a coach loses a team like Herman lost this team, there is no going back. Add the bonehead miscues during games and the team can't have faith in anything he does. The players who do not transfer will be the ones who either don't figure to be able to crack the line up at major schools, or don't want to give up the quality of perks ( facilities, etc) UT has to offer.
The difference in Tom Herman and Nick Saban, etc...
Tom says " If you want to be great be great."
Nick probably says " If you don't want to be great get the hell out of here."

Might as well give up. I don't know if this sight has been highjacked by Aggies or Sooners or what the problem is, but 99% of all posts are negative. For example, we have the number 11 basketball team in the country with potentially one of the greatest freshman in UT history and if you read many of the posts you would think the team is ranked dead last.

[gently asks]...is Sam Ehlinger eligible to get another year???
Yes, I think anyone who played this year is - this year doesn't count towards number of years played.

That said, personally I don't think he comes back. Now if he's not projected to be drafted, then maybe he does - give the slot machine one more spin and see if next year works out better, but it's hardly like he's been missing playing time or coming back from an injury (that we know of), such that another year would improve his draft stock.

Probably a question few could answer besides Joefan, but how many players have left UT and been really successful other places. I can think of Snead (but he would have sat behind Colt I think), Dutton (perhaps that was a big loss), Buechelle (beat out by sam), and Gilbert (as a fan base we should feel shame for booing him out the door). I do not know of any others but I am sure there are a few.

Sold a house two blocks from the spring branch fault line! The owners after the ones I sold to, had to install piers. Loved Spring Branch but the foundation problems!! Much Like the 2020 Longhorns.

You can’t ask kids to stand up to a mob by themselves. This is where the coach comes in and leads. I bet a lot of players wished they were elsewhere and didn’t want the negatives associated with making a stand. Now the cancers are gone, I see a lot of commitment to the future from the players who want to return.

You and Sabre are right.
I was about to reply that” I didn’t say the locker room wasn’t divided”... because I’ve said that since OU... and dam I saw where I wrote that.

Yes locker room was divided in my opinion.

What I was try to say was all the talk about Jackson going to Utah and we were about to see a deluge of players transferring over TH.
I didn’t think that would happen.
Poor choice of words on my part and I can’t even think of how to reword that. I don’t drink anymore , last night I had two bloody Mary’s and I feel like I closed down a strip joint. Tough getting old. I cant think.

Jordan Elliott went in NFL Draft in 3rd round. There was a DB that went to the NFL too, can't remember his name but think he transferred to Oregon. Also, a WR the went to AZ and had a great career there, can't remember his name either.

The same thought occurred to me.

Sam stood up, but I guess he’s not a “kid.”

Ok, please humor me by saving me a lot of digging or inferring—which people are gone that will change the locker room?

To be fair, it's Crimson (and Cream), not Red...
