UT mail problem

I can't send messages from my account lately, everything was fine until Friday morning, and since then nothing. I can still receive them through outlook express however.

Well, I take that back, I can, but not from outlook express on my computer, I have to go to webmail. When I try to send them through outlook express, I get this error message:

Did you graduate already? About 6 months after you finish, your webmail gets all f'ed up. I can still receive (which is about 95% spam) but cannot send.
 
Is your outgoing mail server set to mail.utexas.edu or are you relaying it through another server - i.e. austin.rr.com?
 
I got a hold of ITS, and they said for security reasons, if you're off campus you usually have to send outgoing mail through your ISP's mail server, not UT's. I don't know when this changed, I guess last Friday. Anyways, I switched my outgoing mail sever from mail.utexas.edu to mail.grande.com and it works now.
 
I think the problem might have something to do with UT's servers. I work at UT and my mail.utexas account has been messed up all day.
