UT's advanced camp will take place this weekend (June 15-16). There will be lots of commits in attendance (Higgs, Hosey, McCarty, Atkins), as well as, some big names Ashley Hearn ('15) and Joyner Holmes ('16) and Natalie Chou ('16). I would LOVE to get commitments from any of those girls. Looks like this camp will be the who's who of Texas girls basketball players.

sounds like a really good group of uncommitted players coming in. Can't wait to see the frosh and the others that have committed to Texas as well.

can't wait to see the team and see how the frosh look playing with our vets.

Camp had an awesome atmosphere. Full of energy and tons of very talented young girls, including some of the best in Texas. Lots of outstanding guards/wings in camp. You had to see them play to realize how talented these young players are. Descriptions I had read of their game did not do them justice when actually watching them. Awesome to think that some of these players have committed to Texas before coming to camp. Great turnout of campers and exes.

The staff did a wonderful job of keeping the girls engaged in the drills. I like going to them because I learn a lot about what to look out for when watching a game unfold. Lots of exes helped staff the camp. Among those I recognized or heard mentioned as being there: Coco Reed, Erica Arriaran, Audrey Cook, Ashleigh Fontenette, Ashley Lindsey, Earnie Williams, and Tamra Cobbins. I’m sure I missed others. The FEC is not the best place for me to hear a voice using a loudspeaker.

Saw the following players helping out at the camp: Empress, Nneka, Chassidy, Anne Marie, Imani, Ashley, Brady, Krystle, Nekia, Kelsey, and I think, Brianna, although I did not have a chance to confirm that
I watched Nekia and Chas draining 3s before the start of the all star game. Krystle and Empress also chimed in. Everyone looks healthy. Looks like Anne Marie and Ashley are recovering well from their surgeries.

For me, this marks the beginning of the new season. Coming up are practices in October.
