AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Longhorns 2012 baseball schedule will feature 52 games, including 32 games on 30 home dates.
The Longhorns will play five weekend series at home, along with their annual split-weekend series against Baylor and Texas A&M.
Texas plays Texas A&M on April 27-29 with the Friday game in College Station and the Saturday and Sunday contests in Austin. Texas plays Baylor on May 17-19 with Thursday game in Waco and the Friday and Saturday games in Austin.
The 2012 campaign commences the weekend of Feb. 17-19 with the Longhorns hosting Duke for a three-game series.
The Longhorns will participate in the Astros College Classic in Houston the weekend of March 2-4. Opponents have not yet been announced.
Texas' next three-game series at home is against Loyola Marymount on March 9-11.
The Longhorns play a four-game series against California the weekend of March 30-April 1. The games will be played at The Dell Diamond in Round Rock due to the Texas Relays. The squads will play single games on Friday and Sunday and a doubleheader on Saturday.
Texas plays home Big 12 Conference series against Oklahoma State (April 12-15) and Kansas (April 20-22).
The Burnt Orange plays road conference series against Oklahoma (March 16-18), Kansas State (March 23-25), Texas Tech (April 5-7), and Missouri (May 4-6).
The Longhorns' lone non-conference road series is at Stanford on Feb. 24-26.
Texas also has non-conference games scheduled against UT Arlington (Feb. 21), Houston Baptist (Feb. 28), Dallas Baptist (March 6), Texas State (March 13 and April 17), Stephen F. Austin (March 20), UTPA (March 28), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (April 10), Central Arkansas (April 24), Prairie View A&M (May 1) and Texas Southern (doubleheader on May 12).
The 2012 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship is once again slated for RedHawks Field at Bricktown in Oklahoma City on May 23-27.
