USC releases top OL recruit from letter of intent

USC actually made a smart decision releasing Seantrel Henderson without restrictions. If I recall correctly, his family was given some level assurance from Kiffin that USC would not suffer any significant penalties.

I've been watching this story from the time it was first rumored in the LA Times. I am a little surprised that we haven't made some kind of play for him given the numbers weakness in the O-line for 2011. Would be an unbelievable cherry on top of the 2010 class.
 
Do you mean the numbers in our 2010 Class? For 2011 we've got quantity and quality ready to sign next February.
 
I mean the actual line depth in the 2011 season. We have a great class of 2011 signees, but typically offensive linemen redshirt more than any other position. But due to depth considerations I can see at least one or two of next February's recruiting class being put into action. Recall Mack said at his February press conference that his only regret for the 2010 class was not signing one more on the O-line.

What's going to happen with this guy when all the *** kissing stops?

Is he going to actually have a work ethic? Who knows?
 
I don't understand why some of you are bashing the kid. There hasn't been anything remotely negative about him in the media/recruiting services. He waited a long time to make his decision and he wanted out of his commitment because his school is corrupt and he didn't want to deal with that. What did he do wrong?
