USC comes in with another team full of big perimeter players and long, slender forwards, but none of that translates into blocked shots or steals for them on defense.

Donte Smith is their only player under 6'5' who gets any playing time. They have 6'10" Vucevic and 6'9" Stephenson who will see a lot of time on the floor together, but neither has anything like Pittman's bulk.

Nebraska beat these guys in a typical NU drag it out 51-48 game.

Texas should win this by 20+.
 
I thought USC had more than this, but the line is UT -21 so obviously they don't have much. BTW, Texas is 5-0 ATS so far this year. Let's get after them early and coast to an easy W.

And in other Hardwood Series action, Texas Tech is leading Washington 40-34 with 3:40 to go first half. It's threatening to be a free throw fest--28 fta so far.
 
lovin the PC connection to the big screen. a little grainy, but this is the second time now this season i've been able to watch 'online' on the big screen because the previous game ran long.
 
Before 4 minutes elapsed in the game, Texas had 8 guys see time on the floor, and Brown wasn't one of them. Brown now coming in with 14:23 to go first half. No outside shooting at all so far for Texas.
 
All Texas players not named Damion James are a combined 2-13 from the field. Texas being beaten on the glass.
 
Were letting USC hang around in this game with poor shooting. Our D is decent, they are making good shots.

We gotta start running now!!! USC looks gassed. Everytime they show one of their players they are gasping for air with their hands on their hips.

LETS RUN N GUN DAMNIT!
 
I thought Bradley would be more of a creator on offense and a better shooter. I know it's early, but he sure doesn't appear close to being a one and done player.
 
Balbay with the dribble up through traffic, behind the back, then cross-over, and for the lay-up. Awesome.
 
Every year I think our free throw shooting cannot get any worse and it does. Our all world high school shooters seem to get worse after coming to UT. Been a tendency over the years.
 
I'd drop them out of the top 5 for this performance. Maybe out of the top ten.

USC should now just pack everyone in on defense, slap at anyone with the ball near the basket, and they could pull the upset.

Edit: Well, I guess that's one way to wake them up. Nice 10 point run in 2 minutes.
 
Im dissapointed in our FT shooting. It was terrible last year, and it has continued this year.

FT's make or break you in the tournament. You have to make them. Get this **** fixed asap.

No one is feeling it tonight shooting. Its been a slow defensive battle.

Balbay would be an NBA prospect if he were a threat shooting the ball. That kid is awesome on the defensive end and playing PG.

Yikes you are right. Just turned on for the second half. I really don't understand the poor free throw shooting. My daughter's 7th grade BB team shot a much better free throw % last night compared to the Horns. The whole team needs to practice about 2 hours after the regular practice and work on free throws. They sucked last year at the charity stripe and apparently haven't worked much on them since March. Very frustrating with the talent on this team. Brown seems to be the only consistent free throw shooter.
 
lol, I turned off the TV and resumed studying, then I glance at my laptop and see that Texas has a 10 point lead again.

Sorry guys, I gotta stop watching for the sake of the horns.
