Happens every year with schools but signing 31 (maybe 30 if Thomas goes to Oregon). Someone is going to be disappointed about starting school late or being left out.

So when do they take the -10 scholly's a year? oh yeah SC don't have to play by the rules...

Ole Lane Kiffin is funny:

NCAA: USC, you are on probation and will take a 10 scholarship hit for 3 years in a row.
Lane: **** that...I'll take as many kids as I want. What are you going do about it; put me on probation? Yeah riiiigggghhht!

SC undersigned last year. Eight of the signees are included with their last class. Sanctions start with the upcoming classans are being appealed.

Yeah technically, the sanctions don't start until next month because of USC's appeal.

I hate to admit it, but if Texas was about to be put on probation, I'd also want to "stock up" as much as possible. You'd be crazy not to.

Yet managed to whip the Red Army, the Romans and the Romulans that same post-season.

Weird how that worked out.

He tries to beat the system this year but eventually he has to follow the rules, no choices. There are 6/7 early enrollies which is counted last year and since USC appeal is still pending he can recruit 25 this year class. Doesn't matter how smart he is, he can not sign more than 15 with next 3 years.

I think he is gone within next 2/3 years with 16 MIL in is his pocket. Nobody can compete with less 30 schollarships. It is impossible with major program. USC will be bad next 10 years. I really feel for recruits who is still buying for his ********.

What are these recruits being told?
After this year they will be able to go bowling,. Check
After this year they will be able to compeete in BCS. Check
They will have three years and a great senior class. Check
Great walk-ons will increase by 10 per year. Check
Rember the bowl ban is this year and next year only.

Where is the punishment?

oversigning is a major issue.

arkansas was about to sign 35ish players. the pulled scholly offers on signing day...making kids scramble to find spots elsewhere.

i should add the word "supposedly".

that's supposedly what happened with chris barnett a TE from texas. they signed andrew peterson, and basically made it known that they didnt necessarily want barnett to sign with them (he'd been flaky through the process) and he ended up signing with the wolverines.

they ultimately signed 30 players, and were still in it for brandon alexander and a few others at the end. i doubt that more than 25 of them make it to campus.

another example is kody spano. gundy recruited him, and he committed to osu, only to have his scholly offer pulled later in the game and told that he should gray shirt (pay for the first semester) if he wanted to come to OSU. i think gundy also did that with an RB from navasota.

another example is elliot porter. signed with LSU, gets to campus and miles tells him that he doesnt have a scholly anymore and if he wants to stay, he needs to pay his way for a semester.

it's more common than many realize.
