usb flash drive help

So I just got one of these usb flash drives and it works great everywhere except the front usb ports on my computer. I've used it on multiple computers at work plus it works fine in the usb ports on the back of my computer but those are pain in the *** to get too. I should mention I built this computer myself so it's entirely possible I screwed up the connections to the front usb ports; however, the front usb ports work fine with my mp3 player. The problem with the flash drive and the front usb posts is that it can't install the driver. I get this error message...

if you had to put in each pin, make sure that these induvidual pins are in the correct place.

you mentioned that the mp3 player is usb1.

have you tried any usb2 devices on the front?
