40 minutes til kick off. Am I the only one staying up for this. I think this team has a chance to make some noise, despite the fact that our coach is a moron and Argentina has a World Cup class side. Go Yanks!

Unfortunately, being in South America, the local sports channel carrying the games (TYC) thought that it would be more appropriate to carry the Brazil game rather than the USA game. (Imagine that)

The good news is that ESPN+ is showing the Red Bulls vs. FC Barcelona game... but I have to miss the second half, because I have to go teach.

PS- I know the final of the USA game, but people probably taped it, so I'm not going to comment until this evening.

Paint me unimpressed.

We had very, very few chances on goal. Japan must have blown 5 sitters. We also dodged at least one PK that should have been called. We scored on our only real shot on goal and that was due to a deflection.

This team is either not near as good as it looks on paper or Novak is as bad as I thought he was. There's no excuse to play 95+ minutes with Adu, McBride, Altidore, Bradley, etc... and have, maybe, two decent chances on net.

By the way, Japan didn't have any overage players and is considered the worst of the group.
