USA U17 team trials

The trials will be coming up May 26-30 with the U17 games scheduled for June 22-July 2 in Zaragoza, Spain.

The USA will be in Group C with Czech Republic, Italy and South Korea. The USA will be going for their fourth straight FIBA U17 title.

Among the 35 players invited to the trials are the following players that Texas may be recruiting. There certainly could be more.

Lauryn Miller (Kirkwood/Kirkwood, Mo.);

Alexis Morris (Legacy Christian Academy/Beaumont, Texas);

Sedona Prince (Liberty Hill H.S./Liberty, Texas);

Jade Williams (Prestonwood Christian Academy/The Colony, Texas).

Rellah Boothe (IMG Academy/Ocala, Fla.);

Charli Collier (Barbers Hill H.S./Baytown, Texas);

Zarielle Green (Duncanville H.S./Dallas, Texas);

Nyah Green (Allen H.S./Allen, Texas);

Great honor and opportunity for those girls. The timing of the trials in mid June may conflict with the UT's Advanced girls basketball camp which will take place June 17-19.

that's true. Hadn't looked at those date earlier. If any make it and I think some on that list will, they won't be able to come to the Advanced camp as they will be practicing in Colorado Springs or on their way to Spain.

Have to see about going to the camp. Looks like this year it will be spread out over three days instead of two.
