Clean, I don't believe Perilleaux (sp) or Brantley were "late pushes". IIRC, they both verballed early, bailed later (with Perrileaux being douchey about it). I may be wrong.

In the grand scheme of all things uncertain, the most important outcome possible this offseason will end up being the retention of Will Muschamp.

Muschamp's presence in the service of continued Longhorn defensive dominance makes the outcome of the Jeffcoat and Hicks decisions a lot less consequential by comparison. That said, good luck to both of them wherever they land.

agree with those who say we won't know until they announce (and, later, sign).

i wonder how often these types of predictions and claims actually contribute to a kid's decision to shift allegiance to a diff school. perhaps not often, but it happens. the most extreme case i'm aware of was the RB from Hempstead several years back (Harvey Williams?). word was that he was a lock to a&m but when it came down to camera time, all of the ag whoops and celebratory noise made him choose lsu. at least that's the way i remember it

One has to wonder why a kid wouldn't want to play for Muschamp. Having never seen him in person, I have no idea how Coach Boom presents. However, any kid who can look at tape can see that he can teach defense and can get them ready for the next level. What other defensive coordinator has the national rep Coach Boom has? None.
