How is there not a thread up yet? Great win over Greece, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh were fantastic.

I am with you though, I was glad to see them win, but I loved the fact that they DOMINATED. I hope we do the same to Spain.

Really good to see DWade is back.
 
They really seem to have their **** together this year. Mello is money from about anywhere on the court and Wade is back to his old self. The one possession when Lebron and Bosh had back to back blocks was great stuff.

I can't find much of a weakness, even the deep bench (boozer, redd, prince) is made up of great players. I think they handle Spain easily and win it all.
 
Outside of the US, Spain has the deepest team. I am really looking forward to their matchup early Saturday morning.
 
It is funny how we are seeing another side of Wade now that it is not NBA play...dude is playing some great defense.
I have watched every minute of Olympic play and I have a new respect for Labron. I already thought he was the best player in the NBA, but watching him lead the team when he has to and then getting others involved is what will get the US the gold. He is truely a man amongst boys out there and is getting better and better.
Today was a good game and it was funny to see coach K go after the refs like he does at Duke.
 
Jason Kidd is on the team for his leadership. I would say that his contribution is far more than just what he can do when he is in the game.
 
Wow, they really dominated Spain this morning. I'd be thrilled if I was a Miami Heat fan, DWade is playing lights out. I think they shot around 50% from 3, if they can keep doing that then they will be very tough to beat.
 
CP3 had 14 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals while getting to the free throw line 8 times (8/8) in only 23 minutes. Amazing display of basketball today

Jason Kidd took his FIRST shot of the Olympics today and was looking to pass that one. THAT is why he is on the team.
 
Is it just me or does it seem like we sent our actual best players to the Olympics for the first time since 1992? I mean, JJ Redick made the squad for Worlds couple years back didn't he? We seem to have our elite out this time, and it's showing.
 
Jason Kidd is way past his prime and his reputation as a leader is a complete myth. He's such a great leader that hes only been traded about 4 times. He's out to do one thing, make Jason Kidd look important. But hes playing so well that he's avging what 10 mins a game? Williams and especially Paul are completely outplaying him.
 
I agree that Kidd brings depth to the PG position, but it's kind of crazy to argue that he's on the team because he's only taken one more shot than me, especially considering the lines that Deron Williams and CP3 are putting up.
 
Kidd should not be on the team. Paul and Williams are more than enough at the PG position, not to mention that Wade, Kobe and Lebron can all bring the ball up the court if needed.

Not that it matters since we are completely destroying everyone we play, but we should have brought another shooter instead of Kidd.

Its crazy to note that Lebron has 22 assists, second only to cp3. As for all the Kidd haters, I stand corrected. 8 assists, 7 turnovers, and 5 points through 65 minutes of play.
 
Kid exploded for his best game yet, 4 pts 1 ast 3 reb 2 to. He was a perfect 2-2 from the field and played a grueling 16 mins
