With this game not in HD, am I the only one having a hard time seeing which is the USA white top and the Argentinian white/blue tops???
 
Nope. Soccer not in HD sucks anyway, but wearing white and blue/white doesn't f'ing help.

Edit - I look at the shorts most of the time to figure it out.
 
I'm having to watch this game online and my monitor isn't anywhere close to medium-def.

I am looking to see what color the shorts are of the different players. Black (USA- yeah I know that they are BLUE, but they look black) or White (Argentina).

We don't look anything like the team that played England. I don't know about the Spain game, because I didn't watch it.

We actually look pretty good.
-Heath Pearce seems to know what he's doing and he can crack a shot from outside.
-Dempsey is a bit ornary this game.
-Howard has been pretty big.
-Tevez is an obvious exclusion from the lineup.
-Sasha (sp?) Kleijstan (sp?) looks like someone off of a central European team from the '70s. (He's on the bench, but he's lookin' goooooood.

Napoleon, didn't you live in Argentina for a while? When referring to someone from Argentina, which is correct: Argentinian or Argentine? The announcers keep saying the former, but I could have sworn the latter is correct? We are Americans. What are they?
 
One of the worst ref's decisions I've seen in a long while.

Probably not as bad as the Hugh Dallas overlook of the handball in Japorea that cost us a trip to the semis, but damn....that red is inexcusable.

Edu gets the yellow. Number 26. Then he shows the red for picking up a second yellow to Mastro. Number 25.

Sucks donkey balls. F Argentina.

He called it a second yellow, saying it was his second and had the yellow behind the red. Guaranteed it was the ref getting 26 and 25 confused. Did you see something that Pablo did for the red?

Maybe we cab steal one on the counter. We deserve at least a draw in this one.

LET'S GO NATS!!! Adu is a badass, he will be sensational. So glad we have him. They are playing their guts out. I am standing in my living room when not parking my butt in front of this apparatus.
 
Wow, that Argie got a dose of "I think I am a real man" and tackled Adu confusing futbol for football. ***** ***.

Adu is going to continue to be the recipient of a lot of those tackles. I hope he can stay healthy. Two of those should have been cards, but he's an American.
 
the team was a delight to watch, not from a technical stand point but an energy one.

man i wish we could show that kind of fire when we play overseas

Most of Argentina's team should have been given a yellow for being such *******. My God, the whining and diving was getting old.

And, we didn't even have to wait until qualifying to get screwed by yet another hispanic ref. I can't wait 'til we get to Guatemala, Honduras or Mexico with refs from Nicaragua, El Salvedor and Costa Rica.

I don't think Coach's son should be seeing as much time as he's getting. He's tearing it up overseas but not so much on the MNT.

Adu = awesome.
Kleijstan = Harry Potter character but good.
Demeritt and Pearce should get more time.
 
I'll be interested to see how DeadHeadHorn rated our players. He's always rating player (or not rating them) and several players impressed today.

I have to say, I'm a huge fan of Sasha's (Sacha/Sascha) personal grooming. Just as long as I never have to share a room on the road with him (or basically any tight quarters), I'm diggin' it.
 
The energy was much better in this match....the crowd was really into it and I am sure that helped. Timmy had a great match in goal.

Messi is a damn good player.

Not sure what happened on our red card. I watched the replay several times and all I can figure is the jersey numbers got mixed up.

I can't wait to see this team score a goal. I don't even want to calculate the minutes since the last one.

Booking a player for dissent is the biggest joke in soccer. Players are arguing, in the refs face, after EVERY foul. To give him a yellow for that knowing it would be his second is laughable. I think that is how it will go down in the books, but I believe that the ref slipped up and got the numbers confused, but will never admit it. The cameras showed Pablo from the foul on, and he was upset about it, but nothing ridiculous and then moved on the cover his man. The next thing you see is the card. That was a joke.
I can remember three tackles from behind that Argentina committed, two on Adu were bad, and one on Landon and none were bookings. The second on Adu would have been a red in the last World Cup, at least for a lesser team than Argentina.
 
I have to say I am shocked at the result. I honestly expected a 5 or 6 to nil result. The rain in the second half helped but the MNT played as well as they have in a while.
