In the past we had the fortitude to call a spade a spade. We had no problem referring to evil as evil. I'm watching Bernard Goldberg on Fox tonight and he nailed it. We as a society have become too politically correct to express the obvious. During WW II the world rallied against evil entities and obliterated them without apology. We need to do that today against radical Islam. They need to be exterminated just as all pests are. It needs to happen and it needs to happen soon. As Winston Churchill once said "We need to teach them a lesson that they and the world will never forget." I may have paraphrased a bit, but it's pretty close.
Liberalism and political correctness have dealt a severe blow to our nation's strength and common sense. It's so evident that only an idiot could deny it.
Hopefully we once again have a generation come of age that will be absent of the looney liberal indoctrination heaped upon them by the educational system and the media. Hopefully it'll happen before it's too late and insanity becomes the norm. It's close.

I watched the Daniel Pearl vid but not this one. I did watch a vid of the recent Iraq bombing run by the US in which two ISIS vehicles get blasted to hell with ordinance along with what looked like a liquid or some other encompassing explosive that looked like it would not have left much.
If the ISIS dudes didn't think they were going to get a response for all of their depravity they are/were fools. Something tells me this latest event, even with the other hostage still presumably alive, isn't going to help their case to not get bombed anymore. Not the best negotiation to think the whole of the country will back down due to the horrid act they committed against the reporter.(RIP)
More to come on this. No chance that ISIS will change their ways so hopefully the US and Allied governments will act accordingly to a known enemy.

News of it was released now for purely political reasons. BO looking weak for his awful handling of foreign affairs.

Edit to add. I read the statement from an NSA person who said SEVERAL media outlets were going to release this info. The WH needs to find the leaker quickly.
MY first reaction was good for BO for trying.
But after listening to several military people including someone in Spec Ops in Afghanistan and each of them( on different channels) said releasing this information was stupid and dangerous. The details the WH released will help other groups who currently hold Americans more easily evade rescue ops by US.
Plus as one pointed out announcing a failure which means an ISIS victory is amazingly stupid.
But if a media was going to make it public then they may have not had a choice. I understand media thrives on hot stories like this but surely any media would understand releasing this would put future operations in jeopardy not to mention the hostages.

It is absolute idiocy to even release the fact that this raid took place, ever. Not one person on this earth needs to know this information other than possibly the families of the hostages that we were trying to save.
I'm sure this was a Delta operation since hostage rescue is their specialty. I can promise you that not one of them ever wants ANYTHING that they do, failure or success, to be aired publicly.
But for some reason the morons currently running this country don't get it and are more interested in putting up some fake front to the US that "hey we are doing stuff."
The more interesting thing is we sent in our professional league team against their "JV team" and came up short, nobody needed to know that along with the operational details that were released. This will only make it more difficult to pull off these ops in the future.

Was it smart of the WH to get ahead of it and release all the details instead the media ?

It's hard to believe anything these days. My immediate thought when I saw the media reports about the rescue attempt after the beheading was already online was that the administration had to do something to deflect that they actually did nothing. Was there no attempt to negotiate similar to when Obama released five terrorists for the traitor? Where was the foreign relations awesomeness the administration and their defenders claim they have mastered?

You do realize that Foley's captors were demanding $100,000,000 in ransom right? Are you advocating that we should start taking all the rantings of lunatic fringe elements seriously and act on them? Maybe we should drop $1M bombs on everyone who threatens the US?
I prefer to make the military and government do a realistic threat assessment and act on that, or not based on that informed assessment.
Foley's death was barbaric and obscene. We can't be like Spain/France and others who have collectively paid >$100M in ransom to Islamic fundamentalists to get their citizens back. All that does is reward and fund future kidnappings.
