A month ago Gonzales, Bedoya, and Spector aren't on the pitch. The players are match fit, not coming off a three week vacation. Does Brazil still win? Probably. Does the US perform as poorly? Highly unlikely.

This was a friendly for the sole purpose to make some fast easy cash for US Soccer.

It was an official FIFA date for international friendlies. Clubs are required/expected to honor these dates and release their players to the national teams if the national team wants them.
