Urgent question on computer viruses.

I have two computers one for school they other at the house. I was on the internet and I got a internet exploer warning pop up and it stated that I have a Win32.BackDoor.DNM virus which copy's key strokes and snaps a picture of the screen. I can no longer access the internet for it opens then shuts also I get a pop up from internet exp stating that it can't help me with the removal of viruses. My question is this why doesn't my anti-virus not catch nor show this virus when it scans? Secondly the pop up has a link to enable my protection and a website for a anti-virus program both which want me to purchase it. What do I need to do? Thank you for yor help!

It's spyware, not a virus. Run one or more of the following (free) programs:

Malwarebytes

Ad-Aware

Others

How can I open internet explorer when every time I try it closes right away?

Download the install files on your other computer (or any other computer) and save them to a usb stick or a cd. Use that to install the software on your infected machine.
