UPSET ALERT

After having watched college football, more specifically Longhorn football, for oh, about 45 years now, IMHO it wouldn't be a huge upset if the Buffs beat Texas at Boulder this weekend.

I don't think it will happen, but wouldn't be shocked.

My surprise is to see that no one of the "experts" at the link in this thread think that either NU or ISU can upset Mizzou or the Jayhawks.

I'd rank those possibilities as more likely upsets than Texas at Colorado.

Defense wins games. Pellini is a very good defensive coach. The program is ready for a turnaround game. In Lincoln.

My pick: NU wins 21-17 over the Tiggers.

And KU? Come on, they've lost a ton of talent, whether their coach still weighs a ton or not is irrelevant.

Chizik's signature game: ISU 17, KU 10.

Big XII parity.

Va Tech scored 35 on the Huskers last Saturday. Missouri will put as much as time will allow. Bo Pellini is a good defensive guy but he doesn't have the people it would take slow down Missouri.

Colorado's decimated team has about the same shot at the Longhorns. In other words it isn't Colorado's year against Texas.

Herby just had an upset alert.

He said that Illinois will upset Michigan.

???

Wasn't Illinois ranked last week until they lost to a good Penn St. team?? And doesn't Michigan suck still. Thats like saying Mizzou will upset Nebraska. Teams change.

Also Herbie is looking old.

Mack did a fine impression of Lou Holtz at the end of last night's radio show, without the lisp. I still think Texas will have to play poorly to lose, but it's not impossible.
