UPSET ALERT

And I am reminded of that infamous phrase by the wordsmiths of the 1980's - Iron Maiden.

"Run to the hills run for your lives
Run to the hills run for your lives"

What the hell is "upset alert" ?

Is this so when he is wrong he does not have to claim to be.

This game will be over at the half.
Texas rolls by 30 points.

McShay, be prepared to eat a Texas sized portion of crow when the Longhorns roll over the buffs. This will not be over by half but we will see Chiles at QB for a good portion of the 4th.

He was ranking the Big XII QBs and ranked them.

1. Bradford
2. Daniels
3. McCoy
4. Harrell

Then was asked about this weekend and these QBs going into to conference play. And he said Texas ...

I like this. It means some people see CU as 'having a chance to win'. We need that with our schedule so far. Then, when we kick the everlovingshit outta them they'll recognize. *****.

I certainly hope our players are reading about all these "upset alert" and "trap game" articles. The only thing that worries me about the CU game is that our team will have their minds on Oct. 11.

This should not be a shock. We were someone's upset alert in the season opener, and we will probably be an upsert alert in every game the rest of the way for which we are favored.

Hopefully it'll be Mizzou that'll be on upset alert this weekend.

Not likely though.

Darst's pick was stupid - he only went against the favorite one time, and he picked OSU on the road against a Wisconsin team that's ranked four spots below them, but he picks Texas to lose at Colorado. Whatever.

And as to the game before issue, all you have to do is look at Mack's conference opener record to know that this is not going to be a problem. He puts a lot of emphasis on that game every year, and it has paid off so far.

I don't know about wishing an L on Misery. The way I see it with Texas, okie, misery and sand aggie we will have four powerful computer scores if the four of us win the games besides the ones against each other. KU and osu should also help keep multiple Big 12 teams as locks for the BCS drama at the end of the year. What we can't have is the stupid losses by the top teams to the inadequate teams like florida did last week.

What I've noticed following last weekend.... that, given the run of upsets late last year, including a string of #2's going down, and the loses of top-ranked/high-ranked teams to unranked teams....

That the media is now "all into" upsets. Like it's the Name Of The Game now... like, who is going to "get theirs" THIS weekend.

You watch, the hype going into the weekend will be to see who stumbles. That's where all the attention will be. They'll say that 6 ranked Big 12 teams are going into this weekend, and odds are all 6 won't make it. So which will it be.

And they'll be focused mostly on that in all the news for 24 hours until late Saturday AM kickoffs.
