The thing I was reminded of tonight is that the NCAA committee will actually have time to consider where to seed the Big 12 tournament Champion and runner-up. I knew they changed up the schedule for the tournament but I had forgotten they actually moved everything up a day...I was thinking that maybe they just moved the Big 12 Championship tip time to an earlier slot on Sunday.

There is a lot of basketball to be played and a lot will happen in the next 3 weeks (it is really that long?) but I could foresee a scenario of a 1 seed going to the winner of a Texas/KU rematch.
 
i hope the NCAA considers who the teams have beaten

our wins and our conference are tons better than Memphis'...give us Houston

make them prove it in Detroit
 
It is very unlikely KU will be a higher seed than us (assuming we win our last 3 conference games)...Big 12 Tourny will carry a lot less weight than the regular season.
 
My post should not be construed as a happy one about not going to Houston. I am just happy that we are a favorite for a #1 now!!
 
I notice going to that link that nowhere (that I could see) does it say what RPI stands for.

To this day, I have never heard the words spoken. Not even so much as a hint

SOS does clearly stand for **** On Shingles, and is also a code for distress. And can stand for Strength Of Schedule.

But RPI ... as Donald Sutherland said to the troops in Dirty Dozen... never heard of it.

Anybody got a clue?
