not sure if he played last season. could not find any short season/rookie stats for 2007. would guess he'll be in lansing or auburn, ny this season.

buck cody

no stats for 2007. not sure if he was hurt or what, because he had pretty good numbers in limited action in 2005 and 2006.

j.b. cox

great numbers in 2005, 2006 but no stats for 2007. not sure is he was hurt or what.

now with oakland org after being traded from yankees to diamondbacks. must have been hurt in 2007, as he only pitched 17 innings in AAA sacramento. spent part of 2004 in MLB for yankees. spent all of 2005 in the diamondbacks rotation. 2006 he spent most of season in MLB for oakland. 14-19 with 4.84 era in 286 MLB innings for career. uncertain of current status as he's not listed on oakland's 40man roster and has no 2008 MLB spring training stats.

When will J.B. Cox be ready to start pitching again? Where is he in his rehab?
-- Steve V., Canandaigua, N.Y.

The former University of Texas closer will be coming to a ballpark near you in '08. Cox's progress is on schedule, and he is slated to throw batting practice this spring on his way to pitching competitively. The Yankees didn't invite him to big league camp since he's still restricted a bit and could just as easily work out on the Minor League side.

Teagarden and Majewski will start the season at Double-A Frisco, with Teagarden at C/DH and Majewski in left (most likely).

Boone will start in Lansing.

Johnston should be in San Antonio this year.

Moss was released by Philly last spring. Cody was released by the Rangers last spring and retired. Hubele retired this past offseason.

Kyle McCulloch;

Chicago White Sox- Will start in the Double AA in Birmingham, Al. with the possibility of moving up to AAA.

I was in Tucson last week and went to the Rockies/Rangers game (as well as Arizona-Fullerton) and the guy besides me (who is a big Rockies fan-according to him) was telling me that Omar has a great chance to opening day starter over Barmes. I'd love to see him turning 2 with Tulo!

James Russell is looking good for the cubbies this spring and will probably start in Daytona.

On XM radio, they said Omar was sent to AAA because Barmes is out of options. JP Howell made the team in similar fashion.

Also in an interview the other day, Reds GM Wayne Krvisky had nice things to say about Stubbs. He said that Drew would be a major leaguer, the question was how well would he hit - worst case, a good defensive outfielder and best case an all star.

Looks like Seth Johnston will be a San Antonio Mission this year.

When was Majewski traded to the Rangers? I totally missed that. That's exciting. Would love to see him breakout in Frisco this year.

Hook'em!!!

Don't forget about Calvin Murray in his 18th season of minor league ball!

I'm sorry . That was mean. God bless him.

Geno Espineli (a.k.a. Eugene Espineli) is starting for the AAA Fresno Grizzlies in the Giants system. He went 8-10 with a 3.45 ERA for AA Connecticut last year.

You can't second guess who will make it in the pro's. Luck and timing has alot to do with success.
