More of a weather update than anything. Note that it is already raining here in downtown Lincoln and has been for much of the last couple hours. Also, the forecast calls for 50% chance of rain this afternoon. It's also going to be cold...48 degrees is the forecasted high for today.

Damn, I had heard it was just cloudy in Omaha, was hoping the same was true for Lincoln.

Can you please update us throughout the day? Since this game is in TV, I'm REALLY hoping it isn't washed out. When do you think NU would make the call if weather was too bad?

The good news is that CSTV has replays scheduled Friday at 11am and 8pm, so I bet they try to schedule the rain makeup to be televised live.

Sitting through our series in Stillwater last weekend, Mrs commented that at least folks in Lincoln could figure out a way to get in 3 games v KSU around stupid weather. Unlike what we see year after year in Lubbock

Another update for you guys now...

I was just down by the State Capitol (just south of downtown) and it is still raining here. Not hard hard, but just hard enough to where a whole lot of people had the umbrellas out. Bad news is, is it looks like we got more coming our way from the east as I just looked at radar.

No official announcement has been made, at least not through NU's official athletic website. Will keep you posted.

Weather forecast postpones Texas-Nebraska baseball



LINCOLN -- Today's Nebraska-Texas baseball game has been postponed because of a cold and wet weather forecast.

It will be made up as part of a doubleheader Friday at Haymarket Park, with the first game to start at 2:05 p.m. The second game will start no earlier than 6:05 p.m.

The three-game series is scheduled to conclude Saturday at 1:05 p.m.
