Stanford lost 9-3 today to complete the sweep at the hands of CS Fullerton. They'll come into this series 2-5...they picked the wrong team to try and turn it around against.

Same can be said for Missouri. They beat Arizona St today to improve to 2-8. I'm stunned that Missouri is 2-8. That is still going to be a big series to open conference play.

That's the one. They came into the weekend ranked #11 (obviously depending on which of the 163 college baseball polls you look at). They took 2 out of 3 from Vandy, had two cancellations, lost their mid-week game to St. Mary's, and then got swept. In fairness, that's a quality ball club that they lost to, but we're coming in with a ton of confidence.

The Cardinal is still going to be a tough test no matter what. They will be hungry and looking to get back on track. It will also be our first trip out of South-Central Texas, so they have that playing for them as well.

I hope we whip Texas State though in the mean time. Anyone know/ think what the pitching matchup will be down in San Marcos?

This is a big series for us. Stanford is down, lets keep them there.

Beat Texas State, sweep through Stanford and enter conference play 13-0 (our midweek with Baylor counts as a Big 12 game right?)
