Cool. Have you seen the Tim Howard goal from the other side of the field for Everton? Happened a couple of months ago. Can't post the video as I'm at school and YouTube is blocked.
There was also a pretty funny one running around a few months ago where a team had a free kick around 30 yards out. As the taker was lining up, two players from his team ran across the front of the ball and collided (on purpose). As everyone relaxed as the two players writhed on the field, the taker played a square ball for a goal. Kind of bush-league but, whatever.
swc, that was awesome. That was my first time seeing that and it was superb.
I was in D.C. the first year of the MLS and went to all of the United home games as I was a member of the Barra Brava in its first year. Marco Etcheverry, El Diablo, would mess with Jorge Campos of the L.A. Galaxy when he came out of goal. El Diablo had a very big leg and was a leftie. He would call for the ball when the over aggressive Campos came out of goal and would soar it over his head sending Jorge scampering back quickly. A couple of times he almost did not make it back in time. Good times.
We used to roam the stadium hyping up any areas less than loud and it worked. People would get up and dance, scream and yell much more. The players loved us too and thanked us all the time. We traveled to Foxboro to watch United beat Galaxy in the first MLS Championship on two buses. Ah, soccer.
Thanks 100p! I nearly fell out of my chair the first time I saw it and have watched over and over. I have watched my share of soccer and have never seen anything that came close to matching it. Once I saw it, I knew I had to share it with other soccer enthusiasts.
