I am getting this error on my computer tried to reinstall XP(6 floopy disks) and repair it using the chkdsk/r function but no luck any suggestion of how to fix it on my own.
Thanks

yep my damn computer just did this and i could not reload xp. Had to reformat the harddrive and reload xp. I lost everything. Hopefully you can fix yours with better luck.

Put your Windows CD in and make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD. After Windows set up starts and you go through a few options, you get to choose which partition to install Windows to. Delete all your current partitions and then create a new one, and it will start formatting.

copy and paste the exact message in google (if you can) if not write it down and google it from another computer. this usually finds a lot of good non-microsoft solutions. I don't trust theirs that much since many windows problems come from their updates
