Sweet renderings, wake me up when they are actually built. There has been a rendering of the south end zone enclosure for like 8 years now. The UH president already said if they don't make power conference with big 12 they won't be able to put money into the athletics anymore. That statement alone raises red flags about the alumni base and fan support. Also what, if they don't make it into the Big 12 they will just give up? No thanks I'll pass.

@Htown77 props for the contribution to this thread my pal. however, just what "SEZ renderings" are you referring to? i have never referenced any thus far, and trust me, i have been searching.

we have endured over the last couple of seasons... many many promises along with excuses that they were on the way... and yet, nothing. may you please elaborate a bit further....

Does anyone remember which poster has had in his signature a model of a fully enclosed DKR for like 10 years?

@Htown77 props again my pal for the above contribution. however, we have all referenced these particular items. these items are not detailed "renderings", they are nothing but highlighted super-imposed images with substantial burnt orange coloring. in fact, the administration is not even certain (at this point) just where exactly the new basketball arena shall be constructed, as well as how many seats shall be added.

not to mention, just take a REAL CLOSE LOOK at this illustration at the new arena. doesn't it look simply ridiculous... SQEEEEEEEEZED in there between the cooling plants and the soccer stadium..... how simply ridiculous!

additionally, the item that you are referring to, you know, that very old completed stadium model that everyone has seen over time.... PLEASE my pal, that thing is as old as prostitution!

believe me pal, i do not mean to be a spoilsport upon these facilities matters, i just want our athletes to experience the very best in state-of-the-art athletics facilities just like TEXAS A&M, CLEMSON, BAYLOR, HOUSTON, ALABAMA, NOTRE DAME, OHIO STATE, OREGON, NEBRASKA, TENNESSEE, the list go on and on. i am just sick and tired of the lies and excuses.....

I really like that model though. Hopefully when we consistently win again, we will generate enough money to make some upgrades.

Yup he is right, our lack of barber shop and night club like locker room, with lasers and strobe lights mind you, is killing us on the recruiting trail....:lmao:

^^^ really saddens me just how so very many schools / universities are able to construct so very many beautiful / gorgeous athletics facilities for their student-athletes... and yet TEXAS just cannot even begin to start. its no wonder we have so much money on the 40 acres, we never spend any of it.....

It's tough to compare anyone to Oregon. Phil Knight literally just cuts a blank check any time they want to add something. As rich as some of our BMD's are, you could add up like the top 100 contributing LHF families and it still wouldn't be worth Phil's $26 billion with a B.
