Universal USB Adapaters - do they exist?

They ALL plug into the computer the same way, but every single device I own has a differnet plug on the other end: 2 cameras, 2 MP3 players, printer, etc.. but only two USB ports, and they're in the back of my computer (yeah, it's old). And my computer sits inside this 'CPU nook' in my desk.

Everytime I want to hook up a new device, I have to pull my CPU out plug in a new wire - KEEP it out while I do any transfers - then push it back into the nook - pain in the ***.

Any suggestions?

******* outstanding.

(Why the hell didn't I think of that?!?)

The only issue with hubs is that the devices connected to them share a single USB connection, which can impact performance. This is only a problem if you are copying files to/from multiple devices at the same time, while printing files to your USB printer and scanning to your USB scanner. You can solve this problem by getting a USB switch instead of a hub. Your devices will only be available one at a time, but you can switch between them by pressing a button instead of pulling your system out of its nook.

Also, you may want to consider a multi-flash reader USB hub combo device. This will free up the need to connect your cameras.
