United States vs Argentina

3-2 USA early on. How Oberto starts for either the Spurs or Argentina, I still have no idea. Our defense is pretty good but we've turned it over a few times. Somebody (Carmelo? With the online feed it is often tough to tell players apart) just stuffed Scola and now they've been trash talking up and down the court.

Is this game on television? I know men's basketball is an obscure sport without much following here in the states, but it would be nice to see the game before it becomes a blowout.

I see Today show on NBC, ping pong on USA and men's volleyball on MSNBC (none of which feature the US).

I'm watching online - it's quite nice to just see the action without hearing announcers, and I don't have to watch commercials either.

We were up 21-4 at one point but it's 49-40 at halftime. Ginobili hurt his foot in the middle of the 1st and hasn't returned. Our interior defense is starting to get shaky and we've left guys open in the lane a few times. Scola is doing pretty well but he needs to be able dribble better with his left hand to really be a consistent post threat.

Argentina is making it really easy for us to get open 3s. All we have to do is pass from the wing to the point to the opposite wing and half the time the former weakside defender is really late in moving out to guard his man. And now I see why Tim Duncan didn't want to be part of Team USA again after 2004 - nobody on our team has a clue how to feed the post.

NBC sucks. I tune in at 9:15 to watch to game, and I end up watching an hour of Today Show crap before the game starts.

I hereby retract all complements of the online video. In the first half everything was fine even with several other programs running, but now in the second half I can have nothing but the video running and all nonessential background tasks closed, and the video still has to stop and re-buffer every 30 seconds.

I am glad we are winning but I hope Manu's injury is not serious. That is why Pop didn't want him to play in the Olympics.

Argentina only has 1, I repeat ONE channel showing the Olympics. And they showed the whole game. (Although I didn't watch it all.)

Does Argentina have the most NBA players on the roster? other than US of course.

Scola
Ginobili
Oberto
Nocioni
Delfino
any others i missed?
I didnt realize that all these guys are from Argentina.

Direct TV had a channel dedicated just to basketball, soI got to watch it live. I'm not sure if TWC has this same channel. I guess this news may come late to some people...

When i checked NBC, I saw it was going to be on an hour later. I'm guessing they were trying to have something to show for people at lunch.

I'm late to this thread, but thought Kidd- who's been **** on the whole tournament (and in many cases deservedly so) on the board- was huge. For a while there it looked like Paul had never seen a zone defense before. Kidd's ability to get the ball inside at the start of the third, ending the three point attempt party, really swung the momentum back to us.

Does anyone in the NBA have any claim on Rubio yet??? Has Barnes done an en casa with him??
