Unicycles

Anyone know how to ride one? I lose my **** every time I see one riding around Austin, and think it would be fun, and my nephews would go apeshit. How hard is it?

I'm thinking if you have good balance, it's easier than if you don't.

Also, like riding a skateboard, it takes lots of practice and there's lots of falling down in the meantime.

Some friends gave me one many years ago. It was devilishly hard to learn. None of us could master it, so I gave it away.

When I was about 12, my dad got hold of one and learned to ride it, and it used to mortify me to think that my friends or worse, jr high girls, would see him riding around on it. Looking back, it was actually pretty cool. Need to let my old man know I had a change of heart about his unicycle days.

I was outside last week and a teenage kid came wheeling up on one to the house next door. He left on it after dark.
