Where can I buy one? Went to HEB and all they had were frozen ones. Does the butcher have unfrozen ones? I didn't think to ask. Looking for 10-12 pounder.

I actually unfreeze turkeys on weekends to supplement my income. My process is quite complex and takes 24 hours, but its very effective. $5 a turkey. PM for an appointment.

I have a frozen one that I am currently dethawing in my fridge. It looks like it will take ~2 days to do mine. I am assuming that crayon's post is in jest. But in the future I would like to buy an unfrozen one.

At grocery stores they do this thing they call "stocking the shelves."

Apparently grocery stores will sometimes run out of a product they sell and they replenish it the next day with more supplies of the same product.

My local big-box store (Ralph's) regularly stocks them. You can probably pick one up at a natural foods store as well, though you should call ahead b/c you might need to place a special order.

I'm not trying to brag here, but I earned enough money last christmas and thanksgiving in my unfreezing turkey business to buy a wolf shirt, wolf blazer, wolf hoodie, and wolf shoes. I haven't spent a night alone since. Jest? No way.

So what youre saying is "Give a man an unfrozen turkey and he'll eat in a couple of days... Teach a man to thaw a turkey and he'll be Born to Roam"?
