Barkley looked really good throwing as did Gilbert. I hope for LSU's sake Shepherd throws better than that in a game setting.

i don't think gilbert looked all that good, actually. bounced a pass, was off a few others. announcers talked about his "elongated" release...these things don't say very much about the ability to play qb, though.

Actually Barkley was excellent and Gilbert was somewhat off. An extra year of strength and conditioning and Gilbert will be a good one.

What are you guys referring to? Is this a practice report?

UA skills competition. The QB portion had players throwing at various moving targets at different distances and then finished with a long toss for distance. Gilbert was off, it seemed. And Barkley looked very mature physically.

Gilbert didn't look great but some QBs missed targets entirely, even from 20 yards away. And when I say targets, we're talking about square boards big enough to cover golf carts.
