so you can officially put me in the "unsure" category for this weekend.
Does it seem eerily similar to the KState game in 2006 to anyone else?

Last year, we squeaked out victories over UCF , Ark. St., and TCU. Our offense looked out of sync, and our defense was porous. We couldn't stop long drives, and our team looked confused.

Nobody was that shocked when the same problems that showed up in the non-conf games showed up against Kansas St.

This year, our run defense and pass rush have looked good. Our offense has looked close to unstoppable.

Our pass defense is not that great, but we're playing a quarterback that doesn't have the arm to beat us deep with a banged up offensive line. So, no I don't see any similarities.

last year was 2007.

2006 we were on something of a roll, went to an unranked (I think) kstate, at night, and lost a shootout.

this year, we're on a roll, going to unranked CO, at night....

ALSO, I couldn't be home to watch the KSU game in '06. I cannot be home to watch the CO game this weekend.....

I'd also add that our O-line has been much more effective at pass blocking giving Colt time to put up insane numbers.

Meanwhile, CU rush defense has been relatively porous, so we should be able to have success on the ground and in the air.

Finally, the UT team seems to have the swagger on both sides of the ball that it lacked at this time last year.

Not saying, we can't fall on our face. But, it won't be because of similiarities with last year.

I have alot of confidence in this team and I know the team believes they are only going to get better. This is a great test for a young team on the road, but this team has leaders on it....last year you could not say that.

last year you could say we were lucky to get past UCF and Ark St. this year, we have absolutely taken care of business like the good teams do when they have weak opponents.

this team...dare i say...has some focusness to it. that doesn't guarantee us victory, but we will play our *** off.

This year if there is a long play Gideon will knock the **** out of someone. The next time a long play comes or someone runs into the secondary, they won't be as eager. That is a big difference.

Not to get off on the Gideon love too much, but I love how much that kid likes to hit people. Our secondary isn't all world yet but they will not be intimidated like in years past.
