Asked about last night's game, aggy baseball coach Rob Childress had this to say: "We wanted them to leave here disgusted, and they're not."
Boo f'n hoo.
Winning isn't enough for these haters. Don't you feel bad for them, not getting to disgust us yesterday?
Really, what are these people going to do after Sunday, when then can't carry out their annual hating expeditions against Texas? There should be emergency counselors sent in by local, state and federal entities.

They will still compare every move, every event. It is who they are.(some aren't but many are)

I would be extremely embarrassed if Augie made a comment even close to that one about one of our opponents. Such a lack of class that epitomizes that institution, at least when it comes to THE University.

Will not miss that school, fan base or rivalry...not one bit. We have bigger fish to fry.

Hook 'em!

^^^ Agreed. That being said, if the 'Horns weren't disgusted leaving Collieville, I bet they feel that way tonight. Still can't believe how poor this team has performed these past two games (sans last night's 9th inning).

And yet we still have Horn fans wishing to continue the series. Go figure.

I agree with above posters, and this comment is a reflection of just the kind of things I have witnessed since beginning attending TEXAS games in the Stone Ages. I just don't think anyone wanting to continue any series with aggy has been exposed to them enough.

Winning with "class" or graciously is something impossible for aggy. It is why they belong where they are heading.

aggy and the SEC deserve each other.

I for one will enjoy the aggy misery when the real Big Boys of the bib-overall clan "welcome" them to their new SEC home.

It will be interesting to see how the Aggies do the rest of the season. All three of their starters threw a lot of pitches over the weekend (Wacha 117, Stripling 122, Pineda 111). My guess is that they will have some tired arms when it gets to tournament time. Unless their bullpen has a miraculous transformation, they may be done in short order. Regardless, the baseball team, like their football team and basketball team, have performed well below their expectations. So long you miserable whiners!

Weird. Lot of anger on this thread. I don't really see too much wrong with their coach's quote. Coaches say lots of stuff in public and private to motivate their team. Not a big deal at all, IMO. He basically said that they wanted to beat the snot out of the horns and didn't.

Also, contrary to above poster, IMO, while they had some poor performances, being swept by Baylor, they don't really seem to be severely under performing in baseball.

IMO, it's better to be the bigger person, wish them well, and look forward to the future.

Well, there is that. lol. I certainly have no issues with good-natured ribbing. I've had quite a few friends that are Aggies and Horns that were really nice folks that you could count on when needed. And, I've encountered a few from each school that I didn't really like. I think that's just the way it goes.
