I've been looking forward to this Rampage/Forrest fight for awhile. I expect a 3rd round KO for Rampage but we shall see. Other fights on the main card are:
Cote vs. Almeida
Koscheck vs. Lytle
Griffin vs. Aurelio
Stevenson vs. Tibeau
I had Rampage winning the 1st, 3rd and 4th rounds.
I thought he won 1 and 4 rather easily. There was one judge that scored 4 of the rounds for Forrest and thats absolutley rediculous.
Griffin didn't do a thing in the 4th round and not that much in the 3rd.
I thought the 5th round was pretty even, but I gave the edge to Griffin.
I thought the decision was kinda bunk. Im of the thought that a challenger has to take the belt from the incumbent. If there is a benefit of doubt it has to go to the champ.
i've never liked competitions where style beats substance. i understand that it was tactical on forrest's part, but i just didn't care for the pace of the fight. althought i agreed with the decision, i felt like rampage lost it more than forrest won it.
kos' bloody 'fro was pretty nasty.
I can see the argument either way but if it's that even champ shouldn't lose the belt. The judges seriously gave Round 1 to Forrest, wtf were they watching. I don't agree with the 10-8 second round either even though Forrest won the round. Rampage did a good enough job on the bottom to avert major punishment. Forrest was busy but wasn't hurting him too much. If Rampage knocked Forrest down in Round 1 how did he not win that Round on top of maybe a 10-8 for that according to the judges. I can't stand boxing or MMA judging...too objective and too hard for fans to know who the real winner is.
