UCLA was down 41-7 at halftime

No, not a mispost of a bowl game result - this was basketball. And yeah, Kentucky's really good, but I don't think I've ever seen a score that ludicrous between two major programs before in my life.

In all seriousness, Texas staying within 12 of UK may be as close as anyone is to that team this year. UK would be the best D-League team in the NBA and I seriously think they could take a game or two off of the 76ers in a 7 game series. 10 future NBA players all getting playing time that is beyond ridiculous.

As I said before Kentucky is "scarry good" and remind me talent wise of some of the old UCLA teams of the 60's and 70's.

The big difference is that they don't have one dominant player like a Jabbar or Walton. They have like 10 players that are all very talented and interchangable with size. As we saw they have a white and blue team that can come in or they can pick and choose players to play. That kind of depth just wears opponents down. We could go toe to toe with them with about seven players, but not ten deep. They got us in foul trouble and they had some too, but they have a deeper bench.

They are still young and sometimes lose focus. I watched dismantle Kansas and led by over 20 points at halftime. They just cruised in the second half and won by 32. They could have beaten them by 50 if they had wanted to.

They will probably show their youth and come out unprepared to play in a road conference game and lose a game or two. If they went undefeated, it wouldn't surprise me.

What is really scarry is that they could be even better in a year or two if they can keep the core on campus and don't go pro. Of course they will just keep bringing in another crop of top recruits unless something like a cheating scandal comes up.
