UCLA-Stanford: Effects Us?

Tied at the half. Does a UCLA loss have an effect on us. I still see UCLA getting a #1 seed in the west even if they lose.Stanford gets a #2 seed in another bracket. Maybe the south?

If UCLA wins, they secure the #1 seed in the West. If they lose, then a win by us tomorrow could get us a possible #1 in the West.

#2 in the South is what I want...but the other option would be great too.

Go Stanford!

How 'bout this scenario? UCLA loses to Stanford and KU beats us tomorrow. UCLA then loses their #1 seed to KU. KU gets the #1 in the West. We can't be their #2, so we get the #2 in the South. It's as possible as any other scenario.

HornJD79,
that is exactly what i was thinking. not that we have a choice but i would rather be a 3 seed in the houston bracket than 1 anywhere else.

yeah, i too think that ucla, if they lose will drop to #2 in west.
per espn earlier today, overall conf RPI has Big 12 #1, and we have 2 clear top 6 teams, so 1 has to get #1 seed.

If UCLA can remain a #2 in the West then Texas should be able to be a #2 going through the Houston bracket.

Don't they always make the number one seed decisions tonight? Isn't that why the Big 12 is moving the tourney up a day starting next year? I think it's 100% chance UCLA is the one in the West. I think the question is what will happen to Tennessee's number seed?
