Not too surprising. Sounds like the dude was truly desperate in his battle with depression. I'll always be disappointed in the doping he engaged in for performance enhancement, but I sincerely hope he gets healthy and finds happiness. Say what you will about his doping, but that dude was tough as nails and a warrior out on the roads. Good luck, Tyler.

I have no reason to crap on the guy, but there are lots of ways to treat depression that don't involve DHEA. I actually thought his chimera assertion was clever even if it was ******** and never even got to the starting line on a smell test. It's a moot point since he is now banned and retired, but it's a little hard to swallow.

The article states DHEA has no performance enhancing benefits, so maybe Hamilton was taking it solely as an anti-depressant. But the article also lists Hamilton's serious violation of the anti-doping policies from the past, so he has been caught seriously cheating.
