- The Battle of I-35 resumes Friday for the 100th all-time meeting between two schools separated by just 100 miles. Tip-off at the Frank Erwin Center between Texas and No. 2/1 Baylor is slated for 6 p.m. and the game will be nationally televised by FS1.
- The Series: Texas and Baylor meet for the 100th time with the Longhorns leading the all-time series 58-41. The Lady Bears are Texas' second-most frequent opponent all-time behind the 103 all-time meetings between the Longhorns and Texas Tech. When the game is played in Austin, Texas holds a 26-16 advantage. Baylor has won 19 of the last 20 meetings between the two squads. Texas last defeated Baylor on Feb. 16, 2017 - an 85-79 win in Waco's Ferrell Center.
- vs. the Ranked: Texas is 2-2 this season against teams ranked in the Associated Press Top-25. The Longhorns have wins against No. 17 Tennessee and No. 1 Stanford earlier this year.

- Taylor-Made: Freshman guard Celeste Taylor is a two-time Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week selection and has made a big impact on her team this season. Taylor is tied for the team lead in three-pointers made [20] and is second in steals [31]. She averages 9.1 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. Taylor has scored in double figures in 10 games this season.
