Check it out. I think we might be ranked a little too high but at least we're tied with OU, whom I believe is still over ranked. I saw us ranked at #6 and I got excited and scared at the same time. LOL!

Cynt, you're right we may be a bit high, but I think two of our victories are carrying some weight with the voters. We beat a Ga Tech team that gave Uconn all that they could handle. After watching Uconn dominate OU, they are without doubt the best in the country. Also our dominant win against ODU was a solid victory. They beat a Virginia team that won at Tennesee. We haven't played a strong schedule yet, but I think it's amazing what Coach G has done with this team in such a short time.

HOW FREAKING SWEET IS THIS?! To be put in the top 10 says so much about the direction of this program. Pay attention recruits...get on board while you can! For those of you waiting to see what sort of future you would have with Texas, you are getting a great view of the future.

These polls have a way of evening out. However, I've seen quite a few of the teams play so far (thank you DirecTV) and I can't say that I've seen that many that make me think we cannot play with them, other than UCONN (they scare me).

I've seen Tennessee play a couple of times. They are now back at full strength (Cain, Baugh and Bjorkland are all back) and I have a feeling they will be in the top 2 or 3 before the year is over. They would beat OU right now based on what I saw from OU.

But let's not fool ourselves, UCONN is THAT good this year.

Yeah, UConn's good, but I like the way our team is playing and think they could give the Huskies a tough game. I look forward to the Horns playing them in the NCAAs.

too bad we didn't get to see a Texas/OU tie in the football BCS poll

but all that aside, i'm excited the women are in the top 10 in both polls! we have some tough games coming up, though. if we can come out with good wins, then we will definitely prove we deserve to be ranked that high.
