Tx GLO land sale question

...and no, not regarding Xmas Mountains.
What are the general advantages/disadvantage of purchasing such land? Aside from the obvious, as far as mineral/wind/water/antiquites reservations that is.
I may not be phrasing the question well; what is the deal with these properties? Is there a catch other than what's disclosed?

It's really all going to depend on the tract you may be interested in purchasing. The quality of land can vary quite a bit. May be a typical piece-of-**** state land out in West Texas or it could be a little gem they just don't have any use for. There really shouldn't be any catches. They're pretty straight forward as to what conveys and what doesn't.
