Kevin Durant and Jordan Spieth, both of whom attended Texas, were listed by Forbes as two of the 10 highest-paid athletes in the world. Durant, who made $56.2 million over the last 12 months, came in fifth, while Spieth, who earned $52.8 million, came in ninth.
Durant, who is the second-highest paid basketball player on the list behind LeBron James, made $20.2 million in salary and $36 million from endorsements. Spieth, only eclipsed by Phil Mickelson in golf, earned $20.8 million in winnings and $32 million through endorsements over the last 12 months.
