Texas softball went out to Nebraska for two games this last weekend. UT had a 16 game win streak going into the series.
Saturday the score was 0-0 going into the top of the 7th. Amy Hooks hit a ball that deflected off the defender's glove for a home run. Texas won 1-0.
On Sunday, the Huskers led 3-1 as Texas took the field in the top of the 7th. Ogle hit a single and Hoagland homered with two out to tie the game at 3-3. Hooks opened the Texas 8th with a double. Nadia walked and Mandy was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Feight attempted a suicide squeeze bunt and missed and Hooks was well down the line to steal home. The throw went to third and back to home and Amy scored sliding under the throw. 4-3 Texas. Aggressive base running from Texas.
Blaire shut the Huskers down 1,2,3.
Texas win streak now 18. The team showed a lot of heart in these wins at Nebraska. Fight Texas, Fight!!
