So how does it go from here?

I say they should kill Charlie in some utterly humiliating and cruel way, say drug overdose or jealous husband slices off his junk, (...clean off), and throws him to the fishes, or something equally ludicrous.

Alan then inherits the house, (paid off), and starts collecting Charlie's residuals. He's the rich guy now.

Then some aspiring actor relative moves in and becomes the skirt- chasing, hard-partying ne'er do well. Ashton what's his face for example.

This will be the shark jumping moment for the series.

But they should kill him off - something that might be funny of course - bring back all the old women
 
A "Who Shot JR?" twist with all of the old exes would be perfect. Dark, but funny. Gotta let the show go now... it'll tank worse than The Office without Steve Carell next season... yuck.
 
I think we've seen the last of this show. I do not believe that it will continue anymore with or without Sheen.
 
Chelsea comes back looking for Charlie. Rose gets wind of it and kidnaps him. Only the audience knows this, not the other characters. Charlie escapes and Rose is chasing him. We get rare communications from Charlie.
 
Here's a scenario I thought might carry the show a few more years. Rose and Charlie fly off to England again, word gets back the plane has gone down. Alan inherits all Charlie had and remains in the house. Meanwhile, Judith throws Herb out for good and he moves in with Alan and Jake. Has the potential to be some really good ad lib comedy for a while anyway...
