TW DVR splitting up shows

For the last couple weeks my DVR has sometimes been splitting up shows into tiny chunks. A one-hour show may be broken up into chunks of: 1 min, 3 min, 1 min, 2 min, 15 min, etc.

Anyone know what the hell that is? Tivo please get your HD recorder ready

I thought it might be because I was taping on an HD channel?

No problems for me. But, I've found that the easiest way to fix TW DVR problems is to simply bring the box back and swap it for a new one.

I despise my TW HD/DVR box. I've had a DirecTivo box for about three years that I absolutely love, but with my new HD television, I couldn't justify paying 900 for the HD/DirecTivo box, so I went to TW on that TV (leaving DirecTV on my others). I hate it. As soon as the price gets more reasonable, I'm switching to DirecTivo on the HD set.

Have you tried unplugging the unit?

I have had some wierd **** happen with mine like not being able to record and view at the same time. Try simply unplugging the unit for 60 seconds then plugging it back in. It takes a minute to reboot and reload the digitial programming but that is a fix that OFTEN works.

i think mine is only happening on shows on Fox's HD channel....anyone else confirm?

Now, the question is should I record Fox in HD and deal with unpleasantness, or just record in SD?

I think I will record both, since I have dual tuner. Then if there are no problems with the HD, I'll just delete the SD. Note: I missed 45 minutes of American Idol last night because of this bug.
