TV Stand for Sony Wega?

I recently purchased the 50" Sony Wega TV (which I am really digging), however I don't have anything to put it on currently. Right now, it's just on an old coffee table with the dvd, cable box and whatnot underneath (looks good). Anyway, my 16 month old is constantly getting into the dvd player and changing the channels during the game. Therefore, I'd like to get something with the glass doors on it to keep her out of that stuff. I haven't been able to find anything that would work. Most of the larger tv stands don't have doors on them. And I'd like to get it in silver to match the tv.

Anybody have any thoughts? Hlaustin - isn't this up your alley?

I am looking at the 42 inch Wega and my current TV stand is 40 inches wide. The 42 inch version looks like it sits on a smaller footprint and would work with my TV stand.

There are not a lot of cloesed in stands that I have seen that go well with the Sony TV. I have had some customers that have gone to local furniture stores and found some nice wood stands that are closed in. Everything that we are getting here at the store are all open stands. Wish I could be more help then that.
Local stores to check, Pine and Oak factory outlet, neals unfinished furniture and furniture in the raw are a couple of good places to check.

I have an amoire (sp?) that I got at Ashley Furniture that my Wega fits in, it looks pretty good and it has a shelf above it, problem with that is my t.v. is just a 36". I would suggest you find one of those multi piece entertainment centers with the "audio cabinet" on the side.

Don't buy the Sony stand. Its 2 times as much as the one Tech Craft (think that is the name) makes and they are the same stands.

Check out the "ZLine" brand of stands at Eurway on Braker Ln if you're in Austin. I got my 50" LCD on it and it looks great.
