Anyone know of an honest TV Repair shop in Central/North Central Austin? A friend of mine moved and gave me a 31" TV, saying that it had been in the shop and needed about $50 worth of work to make it 100%, but I don't know of any repair shops to take it to. Thanks!

I had a customer ask me to haul off a 31" TV because it kept having problems and they got sick of having it repaired. I drove to the first place i saw that said TV repair and got it fixed and now I have a nice 31" TV in my room.

The place is called TVTronics. It is a little shop on the lower deck, access road of 183. I think it is just south of Peyton Gin but can't remember exactly. It is on the southbound access road in an older, two story building on the first floor. Last time I was there, the sign was pretty noticeable.

It freaked me out when I walked in because they have electronics just stacked all over the place but, I dropped it off and like an idiot I told them it was given to me and that I wanted to see if it was a cheap fix. It is like a $20 charge to look at it and he said, "If we can't fix it for want you want we won't charge you and we'll keep it for parts. I thought, "Oh ****, he is gonna say it will cost $300 and then fix it for $20 himself and sell it for $300. But, he called me a few days later and said it would be about $50. I said fix it and I picked it up a few days after that. Seems pretty honest and it is still working good.

Austin TV and Electronics on 5700 Airport Boulevard, if they still fix TV's, was a good, honest repair facility a few years ago. There's so little to repair anymore, I don't know if they still fix them, but they are still in the phone book.

A place we use at work is called ET Electronics they do great work and turn around time is pretty good, not at work so I don't have the number.
