TV Repair Recommendation?

Hey all. I have a 36" CRT Tube Hitachi that I bought in 2001. It is having a vertical hold problem (screen squeezes down to about 2 inches top to bottom). Anyway, I am getting a new TV for the bedroom, but want to repair this one for the Garage.

Anyone know of a good place to take it that won't make it too expensive to be worth it? Is there a way to fix this myself?

I've never tried to repair a tv. I've been lucky to never have one go completely bad on me other than when I was a kid (lightning storm killed an old tv). Here is one site with a few recommendations. A guy I worked with did get his old big screen (pre HDTV) repaired for $300 to $400. At the time, he could have gotten a rear projection HDTV of similar size for $1000 to $1400.
